Whit Davis Lumber Plus Announces Promotion of Contractor Sales Manager

Whit Davis Lumber Plus recently promoted Gene Blair to the Contractor Sales Manager for the company’s Greenbrier location. Blair had previously worked as an Outside Contractor Salesman for Whit Davis Lumber Company. Blair has 30 years of experience in the contractor supply business serving as operations manager, buyer, inside and outside sales, as well as other managerial positions with large lumber and hardware companies in Arkansas.

“We are excited to have Gene as our new Contractor Sales Manager,” said Whit Davis Lumber President Terry Toney. “The knowledge and expertise he brings to our organization is a great asset as we continue to build relationships and serve the contractors in and around Faulkner County.”

In addition to his experience in the contractor supply business, Blair also is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, where he served thirty-two months in Vietnam. The skills and experience he gained in the Marine Corps helped prepare him for the fast-paced business climate of serving contractors in residential and commercial markets.

Whit Davis Lumber is a family-owned and operated company with locations in Jacksonville, Cabot, and Greenbrier. The company serves retail customers and contractors in the Central Arkansas area.
