Every time Dan Davis sees a Whit Davis truck on the road, he smiles.

After 44 years with the Arkansas building materials company his grandfather founded in 1953, the third-generation owner has stepped away from the business. But like many people who spend a lifetime building something, he hasn’t stopped caring about it.

“If I see a Whit Davis truck, it puts a smile on my face,” Dan says. “I still care about the people. I want them to succeed and thrive.” (more…)

Ten minutes before closing on a Saturday, Todd Mazur arrived at Whit Davis Lumber Plus in Greenbrier needing a full pallet of concrete blocks.
